The person that came to measure was very helpful and reinforced my color decision. The crew quickly went about removing old carpet and installing the new one. They removed all of the garbage and did a great job of cleaning up. The new carpet is awesome! Refreshing to have a job done correctly the first time!

I had two rooms carpeted, one wall to wall and the other an inset. I also had a stairway with a landing installed with a oriental runner. My experience with Abbey Floors could not have been better. Allison was so helpful with helping me choose carpeting but also so prompt in coming to my home to make sure the selections would flow with the rest of the house. The installer was such a pro. I would absolutely use this company again. The pricing was so fair, the service was not notch. You cannot go wrong with choosing Abbey Floors.

We were so pleased with Abbey Capital Floors! Allison Jordan was very knowledgeable and found the perfect carpet for our bedrooms while being very mindful of our budget. Installation went smooth. Many flooring companies brag about great customer service and expertise. But Abbey’s actually delivers the goods! They sent a true craftsman who replaced the floors in our leased commercial space. It had been empty for 9 years. The old floors were medical blue and awful. But Abbey’s transformed them into new floors with a gorgeous laminate wood, clients still talk about. Our massage clinic in Olympia has a clean and professional look! If we open other locations Abbey’s is who we will work with.

Keri @ Abbey Capitol Floors is a joy to work with and incredibly helpful. I expected the pricing at this place to be the highest in the area given how much nicer their store and customer service is. I found their prices to be incredibly competitive and in many cases better. So why pay more at other places in the area? I recently used them for the first time to install Karastan carpet in two bedrooms. The install was super quick, the installers took the time to show me their process and even helped me look for potential trouble-spots (there were none, thankfully). They were in and out of my place in less than 3 hours. I look forward to working with them again on my master bedroom and great rooms next :)

Total transformation! We did not think that changing from carpet to laminate would make that big of a difference, but it did.
The bedrooms carpets were 12 years old, and the dogs did their damage, so it was just time. When deciding to switch to laminate, we researched, met with, and interacted with every flooring place in town, and for the most part they all seemed to have the same products.
We decided on Abbey Capitol floors because of Allison Jordan. She was organized, she was prompt, timely, she listened, provided us samples, made the appointment, came out and confirmed room dimensions, provided some insight and different price quotes based on which direction we wanted to go, and ordered our flooring once we decided what we wanted.
Carl (the install coordinator) came out and looked at the rooms to determine the job scope. We already removed the carpets ourselves which helped him provide guidance to us on how to prepare the sub-floor for installation of the three rooms. They delivered the boxes days in advance for acclimation to the house.
The installers (Ron and Zak) are very experienced. We learned a lot of tips and techniques for floor installation and we are very confident in doing an install on our own if we had to. Overall, three rooms took a full day and a half. Two rooms were finished by the end of the day with one half of the third room left to finish. Ron came back the next day at 9 a.m. and was gone by noon.
We saved ourselves considerable cost because we emptied the rooms, removed the carpets, and smoothed out the sub-floor high points down with a belt sander. (Love you tube) With us preparing the rooms ourselves, the cost was about $1,100 per room plus tax for 3 average sized rooms plus the closets. (We did not do the Master) Also, the flooring was ordered down to the last box. Almost nothing left. Super precise. We saved about a grand doing the prep.
We would recommend to anyone who wants to have flooring installed, to have a plan for: Keeping pets out the way, rearranging the home for furniture being cleared out of the rooms, covering the floor for the foot traffic in and out of the rooms, power provisions for chop or table saw proximity (they set up outside on a tarp-lots of saw dust) a covered area outside for the cutting (under porch or quick shade) and they may need to use your bathroom at some point.
We rate it four stars because we don't know what the state of the floors will be in 5 years, but for now, we can say we love our new floors!

It was very easy to do business with Abbey Capitol Floors. Allison was very helpful and gave me the best bid for the work I needed done, which was master bath flooring. Installation was on time, the job was done professionally, and the floor looks great. As part of the bid I had to have the old subfloor replaced, which means the old had to be cut out. I found significant sawdust afterward to clean up. Also as a result of the subfloor replacement, there was a loud squeak when stepped on. The installer came back and fixed the problem. Overall, I’m happy with the results.

This flooring business has a very large selection of samples to chose from, and a friendly, experienced staff. We chose an Armstrong vinyl flooring for our kitchen. Abbey-Capitol's installer was highly experienced and did an efficient and virtually perfect job of fitting it to the room. We appreciate the fact that they are honest, locally owned, offer products from U.S. manufacturers, and that they are good stewards of the environment. (The Armstrong floor they laid is virtually odor-free...no off-gassing.) We are now having them lay additional flooring in other rooms in our home. I can recommend them without reservation.

We went to Great Floors in mid-May and picked out new carpeting & flooring for our whole house. Our sales person was Assistant Manager Don. He had a man out the next day to measure our house. Then, we waited. And waited. And waited some more. By mid-June, Don still didn't have a quote for us & kept giving us one excuse after another, via email & phone, for not having it done (I'm in a meeting & don't have time for you today. I'll have it done by 7 tonight (but didn't). My allergies are really bad today & my eyes are bothering me too much, blah, blah, blah). At one point he even scheduled to meet with us but didn't bother to tell us he was going to be off work for 3 days after we emailed him back a date & showed up to meet with non-existent Don... Finally, by the end of June he got us a partial quote, carpeting only, of around $24,000.00. We told him we'd wait for the rest of the flooring quote and never heard another word from him.
At this point, (now the end of June), we were totally done with Don & Great Floors and we'd read numerous bad reviews about this place and seeing their sign saying they "Beat Abbey Carpets today", we took our business & $30,000.00 to Abbey Carpets and are very happy with the service & products Abbey Carpets provided us and can't wait to order our new counter tops from them next! Lori was instrumental in helping me either blindly replicate what I had spent so much time picking at GF or showing me other great ideas! She has a real talent with colors and flooring! Blake was super detailed when measuring our house and the installers are really nice, knowledgeable guys who did a beautiful job installing our flooring!
I wouldn't recommend Great Floors to anybody but I have been recommending Abbey to everyone who comes to admire our new flooring now!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I can't say enough about Abbey Capitol, and in particular Kerry. My husband and I recently moved to the Olympia area and bought a house that had a ton of white carpet on the main floor! With two dogs and a toddler, we knew we'd need to replace that, and we wanted to look at an alternative wood product. We went to Home Depot and Lowe's before heading over to Abbey. Kerry was amazing - she is extremely knowledgeable and we received a level of service we never would've gotten at either Home Depot or Lowe's. She consulted with us on a number of products, and even let us take samples over to our new home to review them under lighting in specific rooms, etc. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was, and we will certainly be customers of Abbey's for our future home improvement needs!

Allison helped us choose a carpet and did the measuring. She spent a great deal of time assisting us in choosing just the right carpet and color. She ordered larger samples and allowed us to take samples home for as long as we needed. The installation was top-notch. The installer was on time and even stayed until 8:00 p.m. to finish the job!

I built a new house and Abbey Capitol Floors installed all the carpeting and tiles throughout the whole house- they did the works. The installation was great, but the billing situation itself was very confusing. Because it was a new home being constructed, there were a lot of different projects and the billing got very confusing. I would get double bills even though I had already paid them and the statements were repeating themselves. Instead of billing everything under one big job, they divided it up so it became very confusing. I am still confused about what really happened, and I am concerned that I might have overpaid by a few thousand dollars. However, it was honestly such a big job that I would have to go back through all of my old statements and checks to figure out what really happened. The overall experience was great, but the billing issues needed to be addressed. Lori, the owner, was instrumental in helping me decide on the tiles when we were picking out which materials to use. I really appreciated her help and advice on that. She really went above and beyond looking for materials. If I wanted a certain material that I had in mind and they didn't have it, she would go do the research and find it for me. When it came to the price, she really sharpened her pencil and calculated it out for me. She was really good about finding out what the cost for each thing would be per square foot. She stayed within the budget I gave her, but I actually didn't. It was a 4,000 square foot house, so there was a lot of area to cover and it was a huge job. The installer did a great job. Everything looks really good. It was absolutely a professional, high quality job. the installers went above and beyond. Other than the billing issues, my overall experience was good, and I love supporting local businesses so I would recommend them.
